The Merv Griffin Recordings
In December of 1968 Judy Garland made two appearances on The Merv Griffin Show. her first was as a guest, and her second as a guest host.
Posted to the Yahoo experience are all of Judy's musical numbers from both shows, including her duet of The Only Boy In The World with Arthur Treacher, and a wild trolley ride featuring Judy with Merv and Totie Fields.
JUDY AT NEWPORT
The Big Show
Mr. Big Stuff (who do you think you are)
I am sure a lot of you have heard the recording of Patti Lupone tearing down the fourth wall during a performance of Gypsy to tell off and evict an audience member who annoyed her.
Well, that recording hasn't been posted to The Judy Garland Experience, but another one has, and oh it's a rare one, and it will remind everyone exactly why we decided a long time ago that the rules do not apply to Ms. Patti Lupone.
CASABLANCA
INTERPRETATIONS
The new installment of the Yahoo feature Interpretations features Judy's 1957 whimsical, yet haunting, studio recording of By Myself versus her 1963 dramtaic soundtrack recording of the song, which some people consider the definitive interpretation.
Be sure to visit the audio section to sample each version, and then go to the polling area and vote for your favorite.
