This week's performer on WHERE JUDY PLAYED, over at the Yahoo group, is the great Aretha Franklin in a rare performance at Radio City. Judy played the Music Hall in the 40's, and this ultra rare concert from the Queen Of Souls is from 1990. Be sure to check out Aretha's majestic performance of Once Before I Go, she ends the song and comes back and sings an encore of it, again and again, about half a dozen times in all.
Aretha, since Judy has passed, is one of the very few performers who could get away with such high drama onstage!
Incidentally. Aretha Franklin is a HUGE Judy Garland fan!
