NEW FILES POSTED TO THE YAHOO GROUP (for the week of April 8, 2012)
A JUDY MOMENT
Nope, there's no call for Phillip Morris, but Judy is certainly trying to get somebody's attention.
COULDA, WOULDA, SHOULDA
Frank Sinatra seems to be having a little trouble finding the center of this song, Something tells me Judy not only would have found the center, but would have used it as a starting point.
DUET OF THE WEEK
Judy Garland and Fred Astaire sing what will forever be known as "their" song.
ENCORE
Sinatra again, but this time he DOES find the center of the song, and proceeds to sing circles around it. This joyous performance was recorded on Frank's mid seventies tour with the Woody Herman orchestra. One of Sinatra's most exciting live performances...ever!
HAPPY EASTER
To celebrate the bunny here is a little Judy ear candy that is making it's online debut...
JUDY IN HOLLYWOOD
Ziegfeld Girl: excerpts from the soundtrack recording sessions.
UNEXPECTED JUDY
Judy Garland sings songs that are not usually associated with her songbook.
LADY ESTHER BLODGETT THEATER
Presents JUDY GARLAND in the 1951 ABC radio production of EASTER PARADE. Also starring FRED ASTAIRE, and featuring Monica Lewis and Peter Lawford.
REQUESTS AND RARITIES
And oddities.
SUNDAY MORNING SPECIAL
The return of Frances Faye. Assorted recordings, 1940's-1980's.
WHAT JUDY SANG
Peggy Lee and Billie Holiday sing selections from the Judy Garland songbook.
In my point of view You sure did put a new twist on something that Ive heard so much about. And How did you manage to make a blog that as smart as it is sleek?
