On this day in herstory, February 3, 1954 ... Judy was filming on location in Laguna for A STAR IS BORN ... this scene would ultimately be cut from the release print but this still shows not only a beautiful profile portrait of Judy and James Mason but also the Cinemascope majesty of the setting. The scene was to have been a visit by Vicki and Norman to see the land where they intended to build their home by the sea ... during which they also had a picnic.
