This morning a member of the yahoo version of The Judy Garland Experience posted something I had never heard before. It seems that in 1967 when Judy was riding the crest of that phenominal summer tour that marked yet another comeback for her, there was serious talk of starring her in a film about the late Edith Piaf. The talks were so serious that the project was assigned a director, none other than Geotge Cukor! There were plans to start incorporating Piaf songs into Judy's stage show, which would later be filmed by Cukor and inserted into the film.

Woulda, coulda, shoulda!

Judy Garland tackles one of Katherine Hepburns more famous roles in this 1950 radio drama. Jusy plays the part of a midwestern woman yearning for a place in society with much aplomb.
