A JUDY MOMENT
a new A JUDY MOMENT has been posted to the Yahoo version of The Judy Garland Experience.
This week we are featuring Judy and Arthur Treacher's sweet and poignant rendition of If You Were The Only Boy In The World. This performance was recorded in late December of 1968 when Judy was the guest host on the Merv Griffin show.

This week on WHERE JUDY PLAYED we have brought back Lorna Luft, who, in this 1998 performance at Carnegie Hall, gives her own unique take on several of the Garland classics.

Hear Judy's own practice recording for songs that she later lip sync'd to on her television program. Very interesting to hear this material outside of the context of her TV show, and without the distraction of an audience or visual performance.
The Women's (My) Way
The song being examined for Interpretations this week at the Yahoo group is My Way.
Traditionally the song has been performed by men, everyone from Frank Sinatra to Elvis Presley to Willie Nelson, but we've decided to add a little twist, and, instead of taking the testosterone route, have gone the way of estrogen.
Posted are versions by Aretha Franklin, Josephine Baker, Dorothy Squires, and Nina Simone.

CRAZY NINA
An amazing, never released concert, of Nina Simone performing in London in 1977 has been posted to the Yahoo version of The Judy Garland Experience.
Nina is at her best in this voice and piano only concert. She is brilliant, vulnerable, funny, rude, sensitive, and magnificent!
She strays from her normal set lists and performs songs she rarely did in live performances.
Be sure to go over to the experience and give it a listen before it goes away.
