WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN THE YAHOO GROUP

Here is a recap of the latest audio files that have been posted to the Yahoo version of The Judy Garland Experience:

A JUDY MOMENT
This week's A Judy Moment has been turned over to Judy's old accomplice, Mickey
Rooney, who sings and plays his original composition "Judy" written for who
else, Judy Garland.
This simple, yet poignant, song may tug at your heartstrings, so be forewarned.

JUDY, THE FIRST, AND FINAL, RECORDINGS
Because this week is the week that it is I thought I would post Judy's first
known (exsisting)recordings (November, 1929) as well as her last known
recordings (June, 1969)

JUNE 23, 1969
Immediately following Judy's death on June 22, 1969, Barry Gray assembled the
likes of Judith Christ, John Springer, Edward Epstein, and Rex Reed to discuss
the life and career of Judy Garland.
You'll have to take this one with a grain of salt, because despite the fact that
everyone on the panel truly loved Judy, they weere apparently not fully educated
and a few myths are perpetuated.
But a fascinating listen nonetheless.

WHERE JUDY PLAYED
One of our very first installments of Where Judy Played featured highlights of
Barbra Streisand Live at JFK Stadium in Philadelphia.
Well. it is time for part two, so even more of that great concert has been
posted.
Hope that you Babra fan's out there get a kick out of this.

JUDY GOES HOME
It just seemed appropriate to post the only known concert recording of Judy in
her birth state.
This recording has something rare for a bootleg, great sound!

SUNDAY MORNING SPECIAL
This week's Sunday Morning Special featured the music of the great Maxine
Sullivan.
Unfortunately, due to the length of the Barry Gray program, I had to cut
Maxine's set short.
But no fears, you can't keep talent like that away from TJGE and Ms. Sullivan
will definitely be back soon (and singing up a storm).

JUDY LAUGHS
and boy could she!
Somebody requested a file of Judy laughing, and I have posted what I think is a
doozy.
Be sure to check it out, it is in the R&R folder.
But don't blame me if you find her laugh infectious....

THE BING AND ROSIE SHOW #25
Another episode of Bing Crosby and Rosemary Clooney's daytime radio show has
been posted. This one was recorded on April 1, 1960.

DUELING DIVAS
Doris Day has stepped in to challenge returning champ Rosemary Clooney.
Both sing their own unique renditions of the sentimental The Way We Were.
After listening to the two versions posted in the audio section please go to the
polling area and vote for your favorite.
If Rosie wins she will automatically be placed in the semi-finals, if Dodo wins
she will be back next week to face a new challenger.
