Douglas Kirkland photographed her extensively in 1961 and during her January, 1962 tapings for the new CBS Special, securing a number of the finest photographs taken of the mature Garland. This photograph on the LOOK cover is believed to have been taken in December, 1961 while the family was living together in Scarsdale, NY."
