Pricing For Judy's Paley Center Retrospective

The Paley Center will present the first comprehensive retrospective of Judy Garland’s television work called JUDY GARLAND: THE TELEVISION YEARS from July 20 – August 18. In addition to highlights from The Judy Garland Show, which allowed her to share the spotlight with such entertainers as Mickey Rooney, Barbra Streisand, Ethel Merman, and Peggy Lee, the screening series will include rarely shown guest spots Garland did on such programs as The Ed Sullivan Show, The Tonight Show, The Sammy Davis Jr. Show, On Broadway Tonight, and The Jack Paar Program. For more information go to www.paleycenter.org.

Here's a summation as to the "ticket" policy at The Paley Center, which will be in effect for their Judy Garland television retrospective:

The entry fee to The Paley Center is referred to on their website as a Contribution.

Members of The Paley Center attend their screenings free. For non-members, there are no advance purchases. The ‘contribution’ fee is part of the general admission to The Paley Center: $10.00 for adults, $8.00 for students and senior citizens; $5.00 for children under the age of fourteen.

Most of the daily screenings begin at 12:30 p.m. (Those shown on the Center's "late night" -- Thursday -- begin at 6 p.m.) Doors open at noon, so there's a half-hour in which to make your contribution and get seated before the onset of a program.

All the Garland packages play either both on weekdays or weekends -- or, for those 12:30pm shows that do not repeat on weekends, they are also shown at 6:00 p.m. Thursday performances. This insures that people who work have a chance to catch every program.

The Paley Center is located at 25 W. 52nd Street, between Fifth Avenue and The Avenue of the Americas (Sixth Avenue).

In the case of the New York Film Society of Lincoln Center retrospective of Judy's films, advance tickets for their Judy Garland motion picture season go on sale on July 14th at The Walter Reade Theatre at 165 West 65th Street, between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue.
