NEW FILES POSTED TO THE YAHOO GROUP (for the week of January 15, 2012)

Here is a recap of the audio files that were posted to the Yahoo version of The Judy Garland Experience™ earlier this morning. To access the files you must be a member of the Yahoo group. You can join by clicking on the header of this page or on any of the many homepage images at the bottom of this page.

Here is the rundown of this week's programming:

A JUDY MOMENT
This week's AJM is dedicated to the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King

ALTERNATE JUDY
Judy sings on an alternate take of The Joint Is Really Jumping Down At Carnegie Hall (1943). I don't know about y'all, but I think Judy sounds looser, more playful, and more adventurous here than in the take used in the movie (Thousands Cheer).

BiNG AND ROSIE #412
Another episode of Bing Crosby and Rosemary Clooney's daily radio show for CBS. Singer Frankie Laine pops up on the network feed to plug 4-way.This episode was originally broadcast on September 27, 1961.

COULDA SHOULDA WOULDA
One can only imagine the emotional intensity Judy Garland would have brought to this song. If given the chance it could have been her late 60's My Way or Is That All There Is. The folder contains a pretty dreadful version by Moms Mabley.

DUET OF THE WEEK
Marilyn Monroe and Frankie Vaughn (unreleased single/take). Oh those show folk!

ENCORE
This time Judy feels like swinging!

JUDY AND FRIENDS
Celebrate V.E. Day, May 8, 1945. Featuring Judy Garland, Loretta Young, Fulton Sheen, Dinah Shore, Johnny Mercer, Bing Crosby, and others. Original Armed Forces Radio broadcast.

JUDY GARLAND IN CONCERT
At The Merriweather Post Pavillion, September 9, 1967. Also Featuring Lorna Luft and Joseph Luft.

LADY ESTHER BLODGETT THEATER
BARBARA STANWYCK and Stephen McNally star in the 1950's radio adaptation of THE LADY GAMBLES.

MEMBERS ONLY
Group members audio sharing folder

REQUESTS AND RARITIES
Somebody from the FB page requested this ultra rare live track from 1957.

SUNDAY MORNING SPECIAL
I REMEMBER PEG. Buddy Greco sings selections from the Peggy Lee songbook.

WHERE JUDY PLAYED
Marion Williams shakes things up at Carnegie Hall.
