NEW FILES POSTED TO THE YAHOO GROUP (for the week of April 29, 2012)

Here is a rundown of the new audio files posted to the Yahoo version of The Judy Garland Experience.

A JUDY MOMENT
Bench Wench Eleanor requested this song as a Could, Woulda, Shoulda entry. We can do better than that. How about been there, done that, and here's the tee shirt? Judy invades Jo Stafford's territory and sings one of the most popular tunes from the 50's.

CHESTERFIELD SHOW
Judy Garland guest star's on Bing Crosby's Chesterfield Show, May 21, 1952.

DUET OF THE WEEK
Joel Grey and Liza Minnelli reunite for a medley from Cabaret.

ENCORE
Royalty salutes royalty.

JUDY GARLAND IN CONCERT
Yet another night of Judy onstage at The Talk Of The Town. This performance was recorded on January 28, 1969 and belies once again Tracie Bennett's assertions and disingenuous performance that suggest that Judy gave less than her best during most of the run. The many recordings made during the engagement prove that on most nights Judy was in good spirits, working hard, entertaining the audience, and singing well (something that Ms. Bennett is apparently unable to do). I'm starting to wonder if maybe Trace Bennett is trying to downplay the quality of Judy's performances at The Talk of The Town as a way to justify her own harsh, wobbly, and pitch challenged vocals. Maybe because she can't sing like Judy Garland Ms. Bennett is trying to rewrite history to make Judy Garland sing like Tracie Bennett.

JUDY PIPES IN
After Judy Garland sang her songs and had her interview with Johnny Carson on the December 17, 1968 episode of the Tonight Show she decided to remain on the panel and stick around for the rest of the show. Here is a rare recording of Judy joining in while Carson interviews Shari Lewis and you can even hear her flirting a bit with Superbowl winning Green Bay Packer Jerry Kramer.

LADY ESTHER BLODGETT THEATER
Presents KATHERINE HEPBURN in LITTLE WOMEN. Originally broadcast on December 23, 1945.

MY DIME
Judy Garland, Frank Sinatra, and Bing Crosby in a March Of Dimes radio fundraising special/salute honoring President Franklin D. Roosevelt on his birthday. This program was originally broadcast on January 30, 1945.

REQUESTS AND RARITIES
Oddities and the unexpected.

SUNDAY MORNING SPECIAL
Nina Simone live at the Drury Lane, October 12, 1977.

WHERE JUDY PLAYED
From 1965, Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin showed up when pal Joey Bishop was guest hosting the Tonight Show and brought along their own unique brand of havoc and used it to full advantage to terrorize their friend.
